Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Museology, Viviana Gobbato defended a thesis entitled "Lighting the Art Museum: History, Issues and Functions. From Museum Lighting to Light Design and Light Sensory Mediation" at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris, in 2022.

Following her postdoctoral research for the European project CHARTER with the LabEx d'Excellence ICCA at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, she is currently an associate researcher at Cerlis (Université de Paris/Université Sorbonne Nouvelle/CNRS). Additionally, she serves as a lecturer in Museums Studies at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle and in Social Sciences at Université Paris 8, France.

In parallel, she holds the position of Head of the Culture and Education Department at the Arc de triomphe, overseeing Public Engagement and Programmes at the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, Paris, France.

Furthermore, she is an active member of the board for the museology association Mêtis and serves as the co-coordinator of the Special Interest Group "Universal Accessibility, the Inclusive Museum" within ICOM CECA.
